BasisPoint is a self-service software tool that helps Texas homeowners organize evidence for a property-tax protest with the county Appraisal Review Board (ARB). It pulls public appraisal data from county CADs (HCAD for Harris County at launch), runs an analysis engine, and produces drafts you can use as evidence.

• Not legal or tax advice. BasisPoint does not provide legal, tax, appraisal, or professional representation services.
• Not affiliated with HCAD, the Texas Comptroller, the Appraisal Review Board, or any CAD.
• Not your agent. You sign and file Form 50-132 yourself and represent yourself at the ARB hearing. BasisPoint does not submit anything on your behalf, and you are not authorizing us under Form 50-162.

The ARB decides your appraised value. BasisPoint's output is a good-faith best effort based on public data and appraisal-practice references. A favorable outcome depends on your evidence, the Board's discretion, and factors outside our control. We do not guarantee any particular result or dollar amount of savings.

County data changes over time. Values, comps, exemption status, and neighborhood codes reflect the most recent bulk drop we have ingested and may be superseded by more recent CAD action. Always verify your account details at hcad.org before filing.

• One account per person. Don't share your invite with people outside the beta cohort.
• Don't upload photos that aren't yours or that depict other people without their consent.
• Don't attempt to use automated scraping or abusive traffic patterns against the AI endpoints.
